Hattrick Organizer Loyalty

Since a year and a half I’m a loyal user of Hattrick Organizer to manage my squad and prepare my matches. Since season 36 players have a new propert, the “loyalty”.

Unfortunately Hattrick Tools doesn’t support loyalty yet although the influence of loyalty on the match ratings can be significant.
Fortunately the team behind HO is still very active and is working on a stable version of HO that includes loyalty. In the meantime I switched to the most recent development version which already does support loyalty. And I must say, it works fine

HT Smartviewer

HT Smartviewer is the first Iphone app to be discussed on Hattrick Tools. My first impression was really bad as the free Ipad enabled HT Smartviewer Lite didn’t work at all. It’s never too late for a second chance though, so here’s the review of HT Smartviewer (without Lite) which is also free and actually works.

Ios

HT Smartviewer for IOS is currently only availble for the Iphone. Ipad users can use the app, but have to cope with the Iphone screen resolution.

Logging in is easy. Smartviewer uses the new CHPP certification which you can manage through the Hattrick.org website.

Functionality

My Matches
- My Matches gives a beautiful graphical overview of match events of current, future and past matches.
- Also match statistics are available
My League
- Presents the league matches per week
- Unfortunately not clickable, so just basic match results and current standings.
Favorites
- With favorites it becomes easy to also check the matches of your favorite teams
Info
- Refers to the company website, feedback channel by email and a future upgrade possibility
Verdict

I’ll keep the app on my Ipad for now, but I’m not yet convinced I will actually use it. The only time I might use it is during the matches, although I would then also like to be able to communicate through a forum or direct message.

CHPP 2.0

In an editorial of November 8th 2010, hattrick opened the doors for CHPP 2.0. One of the most appreciated features is the new authentication system which allows you to manage program authorizations from within hattrick.

Here’s the editorial from www.hattrick.org:

There is much more to Hattrick than the game found on this website, and one of the best examples of this are the great programs and web sites developed by the community for the community. Today, it is time to announce a much anticipated restart of our CHPP third party developer program. This means more opportunities for developers, and that new developers can get started on applications for the first time in several years. In turn, this means new and interesting tools for you as a user. We are also introducing a new and safer way to let CHPP programs access your team data.

Since the very early days of Hattrick, users have built their own programs and web sites to improve the Hattrick experience. In the 90s we started to provide ways for these creative minds to download team data so that it could be better organized and analyzed. As Hattrick grew, so did the undergrowth of manager assistant software, statistics sites, live viewers and everything else. In 2001, we started a formal network for developers which we called CHPP (Certified Hattrick Product Providers). As Hattrick grew, so did CHPP, and what had initially been a way for us to focus on the core site, through letting users build all the stuff we didn’t have time for, eventually became quite a big enterprise of its own. In 2006 we decided to temporarily shut CHPP down to new applications – a temporary closure that ended up lasting four long years.

Through all this time, CHPP programs had remained a important part of Hattrick, enjoyed by tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of users. For this we are very happy to announce CHPP 2.0, a restart of the network, which will include the following:

* All CHPP programs will start using a new authentication scheme when they access your team. In this system, you will always stay in control of which CHPP applications will be able to access your team and what data they will see. It will no longer be necessary to share the security code with CHPP developers – all permissions will be given inside Hattrick. Existing CHPP programs will be given 6 months to change to the new system.

* The new CHPP portal will make it much easier to find the applications and services which are right for you. This also gives CHPP developers a better way to promote their work inside Hattrick.

* We are making new XML data available to CHPP developers, which will mean new features for you. It will also be possible to use the CHPP interface for managing your team through external applications. The first step has been taken through our own Facebook application, where you will now be able to search for and arrange friendlies.

* We have updated our policies and rules regarding CHPP, to make the whole process smoother both for developers and ourselves. Clearer rules, less delays, less restrictions on what can be developed (mobile apps are now allowed!), and easier enforcement with those few programs that do not follow the rules.

* Last but not least, with the reopening of CHPP we are committed to keep improving the CHPP network, as we think it is a fantastic aspect of the Hattrick community. We really want to encourage new ideas and projects as this can only make Hattrick more exciting. And for those of you that still haven’t discovered CHPP, take some time to do so – there are plenty of good applications already available, and plenty more to follow.

This time I will not discuss a tool for your current team. This website is a tool for your future team.

The Hattrick Developer Blog is the website where Hattrick Developers (duh!) share what they’re working on. This helps you to find out what issues are hampering the game currently. For example when a hard disk failed or when the game engine isn’t running. But is also informs on what changes are in the pipeline and within what timeline you can expect them to arrive in the Hattrick world.

HT bet

Marcellus36 arrived in my league this season and proposed to use HT bet , the pools for Hattrick, for predicting the results of the weekend league matches. So I decided to give it a chance…

Getting started is easy:

Register at the site
Choose the competiton or create a new competition for your league
Subscribe on the selected competiton at the competiton’s page
Make your bet on the matches
All done!

Of these steps, the first is the easiest. The site is a bit messy, so finding the right buttons to find your league can be difficult.

Entered bets can still be changed.
Points can be optained by
Betting doesn’t mean you there’s money involved!
It’s possible not to see each other’s bets. This is important if you don’t want to give away your tactical plan

The following aspects can be used for the formula to calculate betting results. Points, also negative points, can be rewarded for each.

HAGonline is a Dutch / Flemish website trying to answer your question regarding Hattrick. HAG stands for Het Antwoord Genootschap, which is Dutch for The Answer Community. And impressive amount of answers they provide.

Chance conversion

The most interesting content I found were the chance conversion statistics. Or what are the odds that your chances get converted to actual goals, based on your attack and his defense ratings. This is just 1 example of interesting information. If you want to know something about Hattrick then you can probably find it on HAG online.

Contribute

As there’s more to know about hattrick from research then from the rules. It’s possible to contribute to Hattrick research on HAG online!

Most of the content regards figures. So you might onderstand it no matter which languages you speak. Try using a translation plugin for your browser if you need more clarity on what is said.

Foxtrick for Chrome

I’ve been a big user of the Foxtrick plug-in. Customizability is one of the big reasons for me to use Firefox. And then Google introduced Chrome. It’s lightening fast web browser. I loved Chrome, except for the lack of plug-ins like Foxtrick. And there it is…

Foxtrick for Chrome!

It seems to have the same functionality as Foxtrick for Firefox. Here are some of them:

Enhanced visualization
Displays colored stars in players’ ratings, displays players’ faces in math lineups (for supporters).
Adds links to external sites (statstics servers) for players, teams etc.
Sound alert
Easily accessible text snippets for the hattrick conferences.
Transfer search filters
Possibility to save transfer search settings.
World map for flags collection
Median and average prices are displayed in transfer compare.
Displays match statistics (hatstats and others, attack vs. defense bars)

How are your experiences with Foxtrick for Chrome?

For years I’ve been using Hattrick Coach Professional to manage my hattrick team. I did try competitors every now and then but it didn’t feel good.

When this season started, Hattrick Organizer was very quick in fixing a change in the Hattrick XML structure. As HCP is not being developed at all, I was forced to try something else. So I tried HO and it worked quite well! The feeling still was not as good as with HCP, but the features breath that they’ve still been improved in the last couple of years while HCP has been standing still for quite some time now.

Open Source

A big advantage of HO is that it’s open source. This means that if the main developer might decide to stop developing then the rest of the world can continue improving the tool. Which indeed we saw with HCP.

Features

All the features you would expect from a Hattrick Manager assistant are available in HO. Managing players, manage your training, find your perfect line up, etc.

Hattrick SubLevel Tool

Daytrading is a very popular activity in hattrick. The idea is to scout players which are at the edge of popping a level in their main skill.
The Hattrick University Hattrick SubLevelTool makes an estimate of the sublevel of a player as presented by you. You enter salary, stamina, playmaking, winger, scoring, keeper, passing, defending, set pieces levels of you player and you get an overview like the following:

Best Position:	playmaking
Level:	solid
Sub Level:	very high

	very high(75-99%)
	high(50-74%)
	low(25-49%)
	very low(0-24%)

According to the developer this tool is

very accurate for youth pulls and most hattrick players.
not accurate for currently training players.
